These canalphones are a version of the 2100 2V1S tweaked to provide extra bass. Most of the comments in that review apply to this model too.
The bass on these headphones is a little stronger than the 2V1S model, and perhaps goes a little lower. It's not night and day though, its a subtle difference that you probably wouldn't easily notice if you didn't have them to directly compare.
The midrange is slightly more veiled than the 2V1S model, which is quite common with "enhanced bass" models. It's not a huge difference, but it is noticeable when youre listening to both. Highs are also slightly recessed, in comparison. Mids and highs are both still good performers.
Overall these are good canalphones, ideal for people who want good quality music, but who want just a little extra bass.
Like all TFT Acoustics products they're too sensitive. With an iPod Touch on minimum volume I sometimes found the music a little too loud, though I was usually happy with the volume on one or two out of sixteen. On full volume permanent damage to the listeners ears would be done in seconds or minutes. Because of this the headphones aren't suitable for children or teenagers, and should be used with caution.
