and i thought all philips headphones were junk :D..picked these up on amazon.co.uk for £28,a definite bargain! these are very natural sounding phones,so eq-ing isnt really needed.. they have nice full,tight bass...highs are a bit tinny..but not overly much..soundstage is nice and recessed being portrayed in front of you..as opposed to that nasty "in your head" feeling you get with some phones
great as a dual headphone..for both hifi and portables..at 32 ohm they are pretty easy to drive..even with a weak amp on most portables...one nice feature is the earcups..as they are *true* circumaural,with even enough room to contain big ears :D..angled drivers also help no end..with this..and probably the soundstage they produce
