These entry level in-ear headphones from Yamaha are surprisingly good for the price. Bass, midrange, and highs are all good, and are well balanced. They have the same sonic signature as the EPH-50s, and are probably 70% as good for 1/3 the price. These are a good upgrade from most stock headphones that come with an mp3 player.
One advantage they have over their big brother EPH-50's is the earpiece is smaller, and hence less annoying for those with small ears. Different cord lengths to each earpiece as on the EPH-30 would also be a welcome addition.
