6.0/10These canalphones are clearly the little brother to the 2100 2V1S model. You get 70% of the quality for 50% of the price, which is a pretty good tradeoff.
Comfort is good, though for some reason I had a little more trouble getting a good fit and seal than with other models in the range. Instead of a shiny dark metal finish they have matt black plastic.
Bass in this model is reasonably loud, though not quite as low or as well controlled as in the big brother. The bass is sometimes a little too loud for my taste, and overwhelms the rest of the music a little.
Mids are a little veiled, not quiet as clear as the 2V1S. The highs are ok, again slightly recessed, but they're not bad.
Overall these are quite good headphones for the money.
Like all TFT Acoustics products they're too sensitive. With an iPod Touch on minimum volume I sometimes found the music a little too loud, though I was usually happy with the volume on one or two out of sixteen. On full volume permanent damage to the listeners ears would be done in seconds or minutes. Because of this the headphones aren't suitable for children or teenagers, and should be used with caution.
