I bought the SE-MJ591 at $300 USD then watched the price drop to $205 which I assume is permanent. I was astonished at the sound which seemed to have no treble, and with a treble boost was still quite dull. I found one test curve that seemed to confirm what I heard, yet this headphone has gotten some positive reviews that I cannot account for. The v-moda M80 is very similar, also treble-shy, but much better in treble, bass and everything else.
