These aren't great earphones. They're quite muffled in the midrange, with a noticeable lack of clarity. The bass doesn't go very low, and it's a little too strong. The highs lack detail, and also sound muffled. They're not well balanced either, with the over-loud bass and the recessed mids and high range.

Listening to my sample tracks they do particularly poorly with jazz. Dance is slightly better, but the lack of highs makes the cymbals sound weird. Rap has too much bass.

I can't recommend these earphones. The big brother ip-595 are much better performers for not much more money.
