The Frends Taylor has decent bass, a recessed treble (~10 db at 7 khz, and more above there), and mids that are very sensitive to any increase in the treble. If someone is OK with the treble recess, they may like the overall sound, but I found I couldn't increase the treble without coloring the mids too much. These are made for womens' fashion, per the promo materials, so the aesthetics are specific to that end. While I don't see them as a good value from an audiophile perspective, fashion mavens may find them to be satisfactory.
