The Moxy earphones are definitely the little brother of the Lyrics. They have the same sonic signature, but they're more balanced, without the huge bass of the Lyrics.
The bass is present, not quite as low or as strong as the Lyrics, but they do a decent job. If you're into bassy music then definitely opt for the big brother.
The midrange is a little more recessed than the Lyrics, and is slightly less clear. They still sound quite good, but somehow less musical.
The high frequencies are again a weak point, being quite recessed, which comes across as lack of detail. They respond reasonably well to equalisation.
Comfort is good, and they're lighter and more compact than the Lyrics, though in practice this makes little difference. They have an inline iPod/iPhone remote and microphone, which may be helpful for some people, for example for calling people from an iPod Tough. I didn't test the microphone.
Overall i'd say the Moxy are a fairly average in-ear phone. Without the great bass of the Lyrics and with a slightly recessed midrange they don't quite have the musical feel of the big brother. They're still reasonable in-ear phones, but I feel they not quite as good value as the only slightly more expensive big brother.
