The XF200 are a sports oriented earphone. As such absolute sound quality isn't the most important thing about them - practicality while walking, running, in the gym and such is important. When you're doing something physical the sounds of that often drown out much of the music anyway. In this regard the headphones to well, with memory wire to help keep them in place and an included shirt clip to keep them in place and take strain off you ears.
The XF200 are comfortable and easy to insert. They stay in place well when moving around. For $25 they're also fairly incredible value.
The sound is ok. Bass is strong and low, though the quality isn't the best it's fine. Mids and highs are veiled, with high cymbals quite rolled off. As an audiophile headphone they don't rate at all, but that's not what these are about.
Overall the slightly below average sound quality is more than acceptable given the price and intended use for these headphones. They're recommended for active use.
Test setup: 256kbps mp3 files, Cyberdrive Clarity DAC feeding into a custom made PPA DAC, comparison headphones Audeze LCD2 headphones.
