The DT-1350, with the best fit-to-ears I can manage, has a large broad peak around 440 hz that gives it a fairly hollow sound. Applying EQ to push that peak down makes the sound more normal, compared to other headphones in its price range (close to $300 U.S. street). The 1350 is very portable, and wears well around the neck when not listening. The cord is single-entry, rather thin, and terminated by a straight mini-plug. Newer samples of the 1350 have a looser headband, which was done to alleviate headaches users were reporting, but the looser fit lessens the bass and increases the midrange emphasis.
