Given that the ESW9a sells for $200 on average and this ESW11Ltd for $700, and the ESW9a sounds as good or better, the value for $700 here isn't good. The highs are somewhat peaky making techno, electronic, and some pop music difficult to listen to at full volume. Worse yet, the highs take a dive above 10 khz so that a lot of harmonics go missing. Even sibilants sound cut off on the high end. With a careful treble boost the sound becomes near-hi-fi and enjoyable, comparing to the better hi-fi headphones. The finish and fit are very nice, but I can't judge how the sound quality is affected by the wood cups since the highs are so recessed.
Edit 28 Jan.2013: I reduced the bass impact rating a bit, but I especially wanted to note that this is not a bassy headphone in any sense - the overall signature is only slightly warm.
