These phones are about the same as the Sony MDR-EX71. They get hyped a lot on f.i. head-fi, and indeed their bass is better integrated, but they too have a metallic mid-high to these ears. I modded them, took off the nozzlyshield and aded some cottonwool, which improved the midhighs. Good phones then, but not the giantkillers some people claim they are.
Excellent portable and comfortable though.
