Turn Sennheiser HD555s to HD595s for free?

I was emailed an interesting article today, claiming that HD555s are much the same as HD595s with an extra piece of foam to decrease the sound quality. They have a slightly different casing, but apparently the driver’s exactly the same. I have no idea whether or not it’s true, but have a read of the article and decide for yourself.
